Dorset Captains v Hampshire Captains
Dorset Captains travelled to Basingstoke on what was the hottest day of the year to date. Basingstoke is a new layout built on the old Dummer Golf Corse, It is therefore only a couple of years old in its new form and is a good challenge with lots of promise for the future. Most of the games were close with excellent wins for Vice Captain Gary Edwardes & Pat Crane, John Skinner & Chris Wyatt, and Steve Close & Peter Janaway. Come back of the day (well in my opinion) was the Captain & Neil Paul who were 5 down with 6 to play. Neil sank his par putt on the last to win the match 1 up. We had an excellent meal afterwards where the overall result was announced as a 4 all draw
