The Colin Chataway Trophy, organised by The Dorset Golf Captains, was inaugurated in 1982 with the aim of encouraging and helping boys and girls aged 16, and under, with their etiquette and interpretation of the Rules of Golf. The event is a stableford team competition which is open to all clubs in Dorset, which may enter one or two teams of four youngsters. The team with the highest aggregate score (all four scores to count) wins the competition. It is a very popular competition played in a competitive spirit whilst also fulfilling its educational aims. Indeed, its alumnae include a number of current tournament professionals, club professionals and county players. The event is hosted by a different club in the county each year. |

Held on WEDNESDAY 26th JULY 2023 at YEOVIL GOLF CLUB. Course in superb condition but unfortunately the weather turned somewhat wet for the later starters. However that did not detract from the enjoyment of the event The results were as follows:
